a) Who was St George? The patron of Catalonia and England.

b) Where was he born? George was born a citizen of the Roman Empire at Cappadocia, Turkey, in 280AD.

c) What was his occupation? George's at the age of 17 he joined the Roman Army and quickly rose through the ranks.

d) What kind of person was he? He was an impressive man in looks and personality. Records describe him as tall in stature and strikingly handsome. Among his men, he gained a reputation for being fair, chivalrous and brave.

e) What was the official religion of the Roman Empire?The main religion of the Roman Empire was Paganism and Christianity was feared by the establishment. The emerging religion was perceived to be undermining the Roman morale and order

f) What did the Roman Emperor do that made St. George angry?Christian scriptures were burnt, churches were destroyed and practising Christians lost their right to Roman citizenship. Violence soon followed. Among the Christian communities, Diocletian became known as the cruellest ever persecutor of the faith. George was a Christian convert and he decided to speak out against his Emperor’s actions.

John Lennon

John Lenno was born in Liverpool, in 1940.

Was a musician an composer of british Rock music.

Leadig trainer of the group the Beatles, in wich he played rhytm guitar, piano, harmonic, banj and song.

Also composed the bulk of the material along with his partner Paul Macartney.

As a teenager John Lennon formed his own band called " the Quarrymen".

Shortly ofter she met Paul Macartney, who suggested him to join the group.

This in turn introduced him to George Harrison and John proposed to rename the group by " the Beatles".

His famous song is "Imagine".

My best friend

My best friend's name is Sandra.
He was born in Blanes in Spain,but now she lives here in Lloret de Mar.
She speaks Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
She's got long, dark and straight hair.
She usually wears jeans, trainers or boots and a black jacket.
She's very cheerful and active.
She likes watching TV, playing computer games and going to the shopping.
Her favourite colour is yellow and pink.
Her favourite animal is a dog and cat.
Her favourite number is two.
Sandra is fourteen years old.

My own story

When Judith was 19 years old, her mother gave her an girafe for a pet. She and her girafe went everywhere together. On Mondays they went to London at night and then they went to Germany. Her pet liked to eat chips. Judith really liked to eat chips too, so she asked her mother to give them some for dinner. In the evening, Judith liked to sit on the table and watch el internado. Sometimes she felt happy when her girafe sang a table.
